Strong Looks Better Naked by Khloé Kardashian

I have never watched an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashian's, but I do follow Khloé and Kourtney on Instagram.
I started noticing on the covers of magazines of The Kardashian's life, but what always interested me the most was Khloé's appearance. Every time I saw her on the cover of a magazine she always looked better than before! I know magazines never actually get the story straight so I decided to get updates on Khloé's life from the best possible source, Khloé herself. On Instagram, Khloé posts pictures of her workout wardrobe, gym selfies, promotes a healthy lifestyle, and inspirational quotes. She was the kind of positive motivation I needed in my life, so I was more then determined to get my hands on a copy of her book. I never expected to relate to someone so much, but I feel Khloé and I are so much alike, we have similar hearts. It makes me appreciate her on a whole new level. Most people cannot get past the celebrity side of Khloé, or even that fact that she's a Kardashian, well that is a mistake. The support that family has for each other is incredible. And judging someone based on the life you see from the outside doesn't show you the person they truly are.
Khloé's book is broken down into three extremely important aspects that are truly life changing if you give it an honest effort: Mind, Body, and Soul. She explains herself that it's a phrase she's seen everywhere, but never truly understood the meaning or importance of it until she started to live by it.

Part 1: BODY
BODY is broken down into two very important chapters; the first is
EXERCISE: Khloé chooses to not live her life by a number, from a scale or the size of her clothes. Exercising is a way to feel good physically and mentally, you can block out all the negatively in your life and just focus on the task at hand and enjoyed the natural high. In this section, Khloé also dedicates two pages for "music to sweat to." I thought this was a really personal touch. While Khloé is at the gym or with her trainer and is working hard and freeing herself from the stresses in her life, she shares some of her personal playlist that helps get her mind in the right place.
Khloé also explains how relationship, being negative and your daily lifestyle can have a impact on your physical body. And if your decide to make the decision and commitment to exercise, one of the most important things to remember is to set realistic goals. Getting healthy should be the priority (not just losing weight) and it isn't a race to be won overnight.

The second chapter in this section is FOOD: Everything you put into your body is fuel and energy that you need to make yourself stronger. Diets do not work, and quick fixes will help you lose weight but it will also come right back as soon as you stop. There is no magically thing you can do, you simply just have to eat healthy and know your limits. Khloé explains that it's ok to eat that piece of cake, you worked hard to deserve it. But if you are eating that piece of cake everyday it's no longer a reward, it's a habit, and that's a problem. Mindless eating is something everyone does, but healthy snacks and water should become your new best friend. In this section, Khloé dedicates several pages to Cooking with Khloé. She lists so many amazingly yummy recipes to try and start you on the right track to clean eating.

Part 2: MIND
It's no surprise that stress isn't healthy for your body or mind. Finding ways to deal with stressful situations will make your mind stronger, taking control of your life, no matter how much crap it throws at you. Do not try to drink or eat away your problems, you're only hurting yourself. Realize you cannot control everything and instead of being raging angry at a situation or person just let it go. A major key to having a strong body is having a strong mind. That doesn't mean you cannot get emotional, the difference will be how you handle yourself. Let go of the negative people and things in your life. Build healthy friendships, relationships, and be more positive about life. A happy, peaceful mind will be a healthy, stronger lifestyle change.

Part 3: HEART
This section is probably the easiest to improve on, so don't over think it or make it difficult.
Follow your heart.
Smile more.
Be kinder, to yourself and others.
Be your true self.
Learn to love yourself.
Put positivity out in the world.
When you release the love that's in your heart, you improve yourself and inspire others.

Khloé, thank you for writing this book. I desperately needed the kind of inspiration you have given me to make myself a happier and healthier person.

My Rating: 4.5/5 Stars
