Chilling Adventures of Sabrine Volume 1: The Crucible by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa & Robert Hack

"On the eve of her sixteenth birthday, young sorceress Sabrina Spellman finds herself at a crossroads, forced to choose between an unearthly destiny and her own mortal boyfriend, Harvey. But Madam Satan, a deadly foe from her family's past, has arrived in Greendale, and she has her sights set squarely on the young witch. Can Sabrina face the challenge, or will her witching career- and high school life- end all too abruptly?" - taken from the back cover All I knew going into this Sabina graphic novel was that it was horror themed and it's also done by the creators of Archie. Personally I'm not a huge Archie fan, not because I don't like it I just haven't really read any comics, although I did watch the TV show when I was younger. I also used to watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch when I was younger, both the one starring Melissa Joan Hart, and the animated version. I've been a fan of Sabrina Spellman for a long time and this graphic novel was like

Survivors' Club: The Complete Series by Lauren Beukes, Dale Halverson, Ryan Kelly, I ñ aki, Miranda, Mark Farmer, Eva de la Cruz, Clem Robins, Bill Sienkiewicz   "One was possessed by a poltergeist. Another trapped in a haunted house. A third had a killer doll. Ever wonder what happened to these children of the 1980s?   Having found each other over the internet, six grown-up survivors are drawn together by the horrors they experienced in 1987 when a rash of occult events occurred around the world- with fatal results. Now, there are indications that it may all be happening all over again. It is possible that these six aren't just survivors- but were chosen for their fates?"   - taken from the back cover Being a huge horror fan, when I found out about Survivor's Club I knew it would be something I had to read. I personally have not read anything by Lauren Beukes, but I have only heard good things. First, I want to say how amazing the art

Paper Girls Volume 1 by Brian K. Vaughan, Cliff Chiang, Matthew Wilson & Jared K. Fletcher

"In the early hours after Halloween of 1988, four 12-year-old newspaper delivery girls uncover the most important story of all time. Suburban drama, supernatural mysteries collide in this smash-hit series about nostalgia, first jobs, and the last days of childhood."   - taken from the back cover   Paper Girls follows 12-year-old Erin as she meets some new friends early morning while delivering the paper. Seeing and hearing some weird things, they accidentally get involved in some science that it way over their head. Erin and her friends time travel, and their actions could save or destroy the future, and the home they hope is still waiting for them.   I absolutely loved this graphic novel. It was something my coworkers could not stop talking about, and I couldn't get my hands on it fast enough. After I finished this volume I was left so shocked and excited for the next one. The ending of the first volume was insane, I can't believe the crazy set u

The Woods Volume 1: The Arrow by James Tynion IV & Michael Dialynas

An entire high school is transported to an alien moon outside our known universe. As tension between the faculty and students grow violent, 6 students escape out into the forest to get some answers. But there is always something dangerous waiting to kill them in the shadows...     After binge watching Stranger Things on Netflix a few months ago, I needed something similar to fuel my obsession. Recently before that I became exposed to the alien world, while playing Aliens: Isolation on Xbox 360 with my boyfriend. Needless to say I haven't been able to get away from the creepy aliens since. I lucked out by finding this first volume at a thrift store while book shopping with friends and somehow managed to save it for a Halloween Day read, which I am glad I did.     The Woods was amazing. There is so much mystery as to why and how the school has appeared on an alien moon in an unknown universe, in what year? We have no idea. There are so many questions. Against the facult
